Day in The Life The Crossroads team is made up of passionate individuals dedicated to fighting substance use disorders and saving lives. Our teammates’ diverse backgrounds and experience are valuable assets in our mission to help patients build better lives in recovery. Some Responsibilities include Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in our outpatient clinic settings Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments as indicated by patient assessment Complete medical documentation by Crossroads standards Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic care to patients, including referrals to other medical providers and community services Provide injections if needed APP collaboration (additional stipend for supervision of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) Schedule & Locations We are growing and looking to network with physicians who are looking for part-time or PRN employment. Our program physicians average 6 hours weekly. Primary center: Tyler, TX Education and Licensure Requirements MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical licensure and authorized to practice medicine in the state of practice Board certified in primary specialty in one of the following: Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, Psychiatry DEA Certificate of Registration in the state of practice with ability to schedule 2, 2N, 3, 4, & 5 Must have or be eligible for enrollment for Medicaid and Medicare credentials Additional education or certification may be required depending on state of practice. State Specific Requirements MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Texas medical licensure, DEA and authorized to practice medicine in Texas. Two (2) years of experience in addiction medicine, preferably with experience treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder. Active TX Driver's License. Must meet applicable requirements of the Texas Administrative Code governing Narcotic Treatment Programs.
